Privacy Policy

Effective November 4, 2026

DraftDrop lets people write an email draft, share it with a link, and import it as a draft into their own Action Network group. DraftDrop is operated by Fair Future Lab, LLC ("Fair Future Lab," "we," or "us"). It is not made by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Action Network or Action Squared.

Information we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account's:

  • name,
  • email address,
  • profile photo link, and
  • account ID.

We ask Google only for your basic profile and email address. DraftDrop can't see your Gmail, contacts, calendar, Drive, or any other Google data.

We also store what you enter in DraftDrop:

  • Email templates: the title, subject line, and HTML body you write.
  • Action Network API keys you save, with the group name you give each one and an optional default from name and reply-to address.
  • A record of each draft you create: the template, group name, from name, reply-to address, and the draft's ID and link in Action Network.

How we use it

  • Your Google information signs you in and shows who shared a template.
  • Your API keys are used only to check that a key works when you save it and to create the drafts you ask for. DraftDrop doesn't read your Action Network lists, activists, or other data.
  • Your templates and draft records show you your own work and let you share templates.

We don't sell your information, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

Who can see it

  • When you publish a template, anyone who signs in and has the link can see its title, subject, body, and your name (or email address if your Google account has no name). Unpublishing hides it again.
  • Your API keys, sender defaults, and draft records are visible only to you.
  • To run the service, your information is processed by:
    • Render, which hosts the app and database;
    • Google, which handles sign-in; and
    • Action Network, which receives the drafts you create.
  • We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Google user data

DraftDrop's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Security

  • DraftDrop is served over HTTPS.
  • API keys are encrypted in the database.
  • After you save a key, the app shows only its last four characters.

No system is perfectly secure, so please delete keys you no longer need.

Cookies

DraftDrop uses a single cookie to keep you signed in. It doesn't use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your information until you delete it or ask us to.

  • You can delete templates and API keys at any time in the app.
  • You can delete your account and everything linked to it on the Account settings page (click your email address at the top of any page). This permanently deletes your templates, shared links, API keys, and draft records right away. You can also ask us to do it at ray@fairfuturelab.com.
  • Drafts already created in Action Network belong to your group there, and deleting your DraftDrop data doesn't remove them.

Children

DraftDrop isn't intended for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date. For significant changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to let users know.
